Walter Gekelman
Short Bio:
Walter Gekelman is Professor Emeritus of Physics at UCLA and an experimental plasma physicist known for his pioneering research on space plasma, Alfvén waves, and magnetic fields. As the longtime director of UCLA’s Basic Plasma Science Facility, he has collaborated extensively with the UCLA Art|Sci Center, bringing plasma physics into dialogue with contemporary art through interdisciplinary research, exhibitions, and educational initiatives.
