Alien Star Dust will be presented at the Speculum Artium new media culture festival in Trbovlje, Slovenia, as a part of the touring exhibition Rare Earths, curated by Fabricio Lamoncha.
Following its initial presentation at Ars Electronica, Rare Earths will be featured at Speculum Artium before continuing its tour to Belgrade. Speculum Artium is an annual international festival of new media culture hosted since 2009 in the post-industrial town of Trbovlje, Slovenia. Organized by Delavski dom Trbovlje (DDT) and supported by the Ministry of Culture of Slovenia, the festival serves as a vibrant hub where contemporary art, science, and technology intersect with the goal of shifting the mindset of its historic coal-mining community-inspiring local residents and wider audiences alike to critically reflect on and actively build our digital, but still humane, future.
